Phulara Ridge Trek

6 Days

A ridge is in which two sides of the mountain come together. Therefore, walking on an ridge is similar to the walk on a knife-edge in which there are only sides of the mountain that drop down each side. There are some ridge sections in a few Himalayan treks. But, having an entire day of trekking along a ridge is an experience that is unmatched. If you’ve completed a climb to the summit you’ll know that you’re at the highest place for around 20-30 minutes. From this point, you have a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. While on this trek you’re standing at a high altitude of 12,000 feet for the an entire day’s trek(4-5 hours! ).

The stunning 250-degree view of mountains that are covered in snow will be all the way! It gives you the impression that the mountains are traveling with you when you travel along the ridge that cuts in the landscape. In front of you, the ground is swept down the opposite side, one of them into a meadow, the other into the valley. This is the thing that is unique about Phulara Ridge a unique experience.

Overview

After you have walked down the ridge and you are within The Pushtara meadows. The sheer size of the meadows will awe you. The folds and folds of carpeted green hills extend to as far as your eyes can reach. Wildflowers bloom in all their splendor. There is a 360-degree view of mountains covered in snow. Then you realize that this is the place you’ll be camping! We’d even go so in the direction of calling it our camp site during the whole year.

2. The forest

If you are only going for a short walk the forest that lie on Phulara Ridge is extremely dense. It is so dense that just streams of light coming through the forest’s dark abyss will illuminate your way. In addition, due to the inactivity of the residents, you will find areas that aren’t marked with trails. Because the forest isn’t frequently walked upon and you’re likely to be the only person walking the trail. Therefore, all the chirps, the chirps of birds, the rustles of trees they all become magnified by the silence. There are many varieties of trees, including pines, oaks and oaks. You can also see silver birches, dwarf rhododendrons and maples. Forest walks are an absolute delight to observe and Phulara is the most remote of them all.

3. The bird

The dense forest of Phulara will be awed by the abundance of wildlife and birds. Our explorers spotted 11 Himalayan monals! This bird of state of Uttarakhand is not easy to spot and is among the most colorful birds we’ve seen. It’s a treat to see even one – not even 11. Our explorers also saw barbets, woodpeckers and Himalayan Whistling Thoroughfares and Drogos
